Deschutes // Smith Rock / “wherever I may roam” //

Back at it camping around Mt. Hood’s wilderness with friends and loving summer! It was awesome to see my buddy Nate, as he was traveling through Oregon. We linked up to go fish and climb, touring out of the big forests of Mt. Hood and into the Columbia Plateau and down to the Lava Plains and desert of central Oregon. Although fishing was slow, weather was perfect and we slept under the stars along the Deschutes River. Rolling south we were treated with views of all Oregon’s volcanoes and many lush farmlands. Soon we arrived at Smith Rock State Park, an epicenter for rock climbing. After some multi-pitch sport climbing and sore muscles we retreated back up to Mt. Hood where we had to part ways. Until next time buddy…
